Vapor Barriers

What is a Vapor Barrier Inspection?
This consists of inspecting your homes crawlspace and existing vapor barrier for tears, holes or damage. A vapor barrier is a layer of material (such as roofing paper or polyethylene film) used to slow or prevent the absorption of moisture into a construction (such as a wall or floor).

Vapor barriers are powerful tools to control wood decaying fungus and provide a cleaner, drier environment for homes and businesses. Wood decaying fungus is a living organism that can eventually eat away at your home or business subfloor. There are numerous instances of entire structures needing to be replaced!

Our install professionals crawl under your home or facility and properly install a durable, impermeable barrier sheeting over the soil to block moisture from entering and condensing on wood surfaces. Our airtight barrier installations prevent the growth of such damaging wood-decaying fungi.

We also provide crawl space vent and fan installations for this same purpose.
